Crash of a Czech L-39 in Bulgaria

The Minister of Defence of the Republic of Bulgaria, Atanas Zapryanov, informed today about the tragic event that occurred at the “Graf Ignatievo” air base in Bulgaria, where an L-39ZA aircraft of the Bulgarian Air Force crashed during a complex air manoeuvre in preparation for a military show. The Minister confirmed the loss of both pilots. Aero expresses its sincere condolences to their families and to the Bulgarian Air Force.

Aero stands ready to provide all cooperation and assistance to the competent authorities in the ongoing investigation.
