Vodochody, July 2, 2024 – Aero, the largest aerospace manufacturer in the Czech Republic, has received the official Authorization to develop, manufacture, maintain and repair Hungarian state-registered aircraft, aircraft parts and equipment. The Certificate covers the L-39NG aircraft that Aero will deliver to the Hungarian Air Force and formally recognizes the competence of Aero’s design, manufacturing and repair organizations.

The official certificate was personally handed over by the Director of the Military Aviation Authority of the Republic of Hungary, Colonel Alexandra Tóth Halászná, during her visit to Vodochody. The authorization to develop, manufacture, maintain and carry out repairs was received from her hands by Petr Jinda, Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer at Aero, who emphasized its importance: “Obtaining this certificate is a key step for us and a confirmation of our quality and credibility. We are ready to fully support the Hungarian Air Force in the certification process of the L-39NG.T1 version and in the development of further mutual cooperation.”

Colonel Alexandra Tóth Halászné, Director of the Military Aviation Authority of Hungary, highlighted Aero’s long tradition in aircraft production, especially in jet trainer aircraft. She also highlighted the L-39 Albatros, which has gained worldwide renown, and its modern successor, the L-39NG. The audit results, according to the company, clearly demonstrated that Aero meets all the requirements for authorisation. It thus formally recognises the competence of Aero’s design (DOA), production (POA) and repair organisations (MRO).
