Aero extended cooperation with Odolena Voda volleyball players for the 2023/2024 extra-league season
Vodochody, July 19, 2023 – Aero has signed a contract with the Odolena Voda volleyball club for another season, extending the successful and long-term cooperation for another year. For the 2023-2024 season, the club becomes the general partner of the club, which is named AERO Odolena Voda.
The cooperation between Aero and volleyball in Odolena Voda has a long history. The Odolena Voda volleyball team was founded in 1953 and has been associated with Aero since 1961. In 1968, it advanced to the highest volleyball competition for the first time under the name AERO Odolena Voda.
Aero is dedicated to promoting sport and also the region in which it operates. It also supports education and pupils and students in their development and interest in the field. The cooperation with the Odolena Voda volleyball team combines all of the above, including the development of youth sports and its connection with the largest aerospace manufacturer in the Czech Republic. In addition, Odolena Voda volleyball makes a great name for the region not only in the Czech Republic, but also represents top volleyball at the European level.
The AERO Odolena Voda team is a seven-time national champion, the last title was won by the club in 1996. It is one of the most successful teams in our country. Many former and current national team members are also active in the team. In the 2022/23 season, AERO Odolena Voda volleyball players finished sixth in the UNIQA Extraliga.
